Eco Friendly Kids
EcoFriendlyKids is all about kids and their environment. This site contains information, tips, quizzes and fun games for children. The site is ideal for parents who want to share in their kids' adventures as they start to explore the natural world, and to guide them towards a more in-depth understanding of ecological issues as they grow older. At the same time, the resources on this site are equally suitable for use by schools as a basis for classroom lessons, project work and eco club activities.
This project, designed for my 4th grade classes at St. John the Evangelist (St. John) and St. Bridget (Hobart) schools, centered around a "green" theme. We began by discussing what it means to be "green" in the 21st century...how each of us, individually and as a whole, can contribute to preserving our environment.
KABOOSE's Earth Day Site
While this site is devoted to Earth Day, when your are talking about the environment and being eco-friendly, Earth Day is really every day.
The Green Schools Project
We pay schools and other nonprofit organizations to recycle their inkjet and laser printer cartridges as well as cell phones. We provide prepaid shipping materials and all other marketing materials free of charge.
